I Am Who I Am I suppose
I am who I am
not because
I want to be who I am.
Honestly,
I do not want to be who I am.
Who does?
I am who I am,
simply because
I am who I am.
Were I given the choice,
I would not be who I am.
What and who I am
is not the result of what I want.
I am who I am;
I am what I am,
solely because universal experience
has made me who and what I am.
Who and what I am
is not in any measure
the result of who and what I have chosen to be.
I am what I am;
I am who I am,
because all previous experience
has determined what and who I should be.
Were I the one who chose,
I would not be what I am;
I would not be who I am,
but that I am what I am;
that I am who I am,
is okay with me,
whoever or whatever I am supposes.
It really doesn't matter
who I would rather be,
or what I would rather be,
because who and what I am
has always been
who and what I should be.
Really,
who or what would want to be
who and what I am?
Would you?
Whoever or whatever it is I am
doesn't think so.
Whatever or whoever it is I am
does think,
but really,
who cares?
