Lost Chances

Contributed by onelostsoul on Saturday, 31st May 2008 @ 09:55:56 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

The words that hurt the most are the ones not said.

The ones hidden deep inside waiting to be released.

Waiting for the perfect moment that never seems to come.

When the moment comes, the right words cannot be found.

The words practiced over and over again a million times before.

With the words finally found,

A moments past.

A chance lost.

With this lost chance comes a promise,

A promise to keep these words hidden.

But with these hidden words, the truth not being known

More opportunities lost with no second chances.

Welcome to YPDC.
This is a heartfelt write. Yes there are chances that seem lost but look at it as learning. At times we feel things are lost when in fact they are reinventing themselves, believe me.

I enjoyed the entire write I will be awaiting a return to your posts.

Thanks very much for the comments....I was very nervous of posting it because it is so open, but it helps that it is anonymous and that people like it.

Thanks again!

Nicely written piece of poetry that expresses something we can all relate to, well done!
