THE BLACK DRESS

Contributed by jsringo on Friday, 30th May 2008 @ 02:04:32 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

She finished her work early
Every bit of her housework was done
Time to shower and dress up
Go look for that special someone

The local club was open
A band was playing tonight
A great chance to dance the night away
A chance to find Mister Right

The little black dress was working
Many men gave her the eye
She danced and adored the attention
While looking for one special guy

All at once a miracle happened
Someone she thought she knew
He looked to be familiar
As sometimes a stranger will do

He came and sat down beside her
He picked up her manicured hand
Do you remember back when you loved me
And those castles we built in the sand

I have searched for you everywhere
Searched for you most of my life
I loved you from the day I saw you
And want you for my wife

She looked into his eyes and remembered
So thanks to her lovely black dress
She knew when he asked the question
The answer just had to be Yes!
