abstract
|
That glimpse of light
Sprouts the seed of logic,
The Big Picture,
narrowed down
making sense
practical,
and the way
it ought to be,
The roots,
never to be seen.
The source fuels and dispurses
on its way up,
protected,
and held onto
for dear life,
the cycle consistent
causing no harm
Taking no more
than it NEEDS
Nature the selfless
giver of life,
a mother and patient wife
tending to every broken branch
providing shelter,
and sprouting seeds
for future fortunate fools.

As we sit at our desks in our robes....
We realize that we all seem to neglect nature. The essense of God. The nuturer of all things. Indeed nature is a sacrificial lamb. Cutting of a tree provides shelter and to us the poets, a canvas. Breaking an aloe stem heals a burn, a cut, a sting. The roots form into the ground and plant nourishment, and yet we do not see this sacrifice. We take them for granted. We can't stop cutting trees, but we can certainly grow more than we do. We can't stop what we are doing to hurt nature (not in our opinions) but we can certainly help her to heal.
A very moving abstract work. While we cannot say for sure your full intention (because it is indeed abstract) this is what we got from it. It moved us, and that is many movements for we are many.
May a talking tree toss apples at you and call you bad names like Dewey.

Nice piece....deep and thoughtful write.....and makes me think that the designs of Nature
are the best and most beautiful.....of the things that are seen and unseen....Good work....
