I'm a fighter
I never give up
Even when the water runs dry
I'll still manage to fill up my cup
I'm that misplaced angel that fell from above
And I'm continually hurt
But I still bleed the love
I live in sorrow
Struggling to survive
And always managing to make it to tomorrow
I'm constantly labeled second best
I get treated like a sinner
But I carry the purest heart inside my chest
I'm misunderstood
You condem me as crazy
For doing all the things no one else ever could
I want you to understand I'm the one who would never decieve
And although a victim of deception
I still wear my heart on my sleeve
I always stand my ground
And I'm constantly neglected
But I'm always by your side when no one else can be found
I'd bend over backwards just to see you smile
And eventhough I don't get a single thing in return
I will still go the extra mile
I represent my soul in my eyes
Lay my emotions on the table
And believe that there's more value to truth than lies
I'm the one who would never leave a promise broken
I stay true to my words
And leave none unspoken
See I'm the one who gets ignored
Mistreated, disregarded and tossed aside
Continually denied
I'm never given a chance
Never given a second glance
But wound for wound, scar for scar
I still remain faithful to my love
True fidelity no matter how far
I'm talking to a certain someone
You know who you are
Everything I am
Is everything I give
And all the beauty to the way I live
Is a reflection of the love I have for you
In a world filled with deception and lies
The root of honesty rests within my eyes
And when the rest of the world turns their back on you
Hurts you and makes a fool of you
Remember that's something I would never do
And eventhough you never give me the time of day
I want you nderstand that this poem is the truth
Nobody loves you the way I do....
Understand that I'm living proof.
