Scent of Your Scarf
Your scarf had just been lying there
From Friday ‘til Sunday
And its scent, had permeate the air
In its own subtle way
It was both soft, and delicate
For this was certainly true
And as I reached to touch it
My thoughts went right to you
This vision that I knew was mine
So vivid, my mind did hold
And transported from this space in time
Now intensified, ten-fold
I raised it slowly, up to my nose
To let the fragrance spill
And breathed this scent that it did hold
At unscheduled intervals
A warm but eerie feeling
Had now crept over me
Where my thoughts were sent to reeling
And just how, I could not see
My mind assigned this signature
Affixed only, to that of you
But try to envision this picture
What your simple scarf can do

Awesome write, Ziggy.... I can relate to this... I have some wind chimes that an online friend sent me and each time the wind blows it's like I hear him whispering to me..and feel his breath on my neck....
Thanks for the moment of nostalgia....
