to the one who borne me

Contributed by zeroelysium on Friday, 14th March 2003 @ 02:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

when i called you mommy
playing wide eyed child
so easily you left stole away during the night
was it cuz you couldnt stand to see my plight
growing up tormented ostrasized shunned
a summer to you.. a christmas an easter
im sorry i didnt mean to pester..

when i call you mom .. you never called back... always on step away form disaster moving not looking back
wishing for a call a card
a remebered present
did you think i was strange 13 sleeping at the foot of your bed on the floor
its how i felt... you never saw.. never could see

a man .. you let me back in , held me down but never close.
tried to rule me by deciet,
instead of pointing the right path with your heart
drivin out by a horrific lie
a tale of a baby stolen innocence
bought to life by you
shunned again not by little peers
but now by blood

you asked me to fogive.. yet did any of them
i tried to live and let live but i hear them not laughing and whispering at me not with me
you asked me to forget
maybe i havent
you asked me to call you mommy again
i dont think i will
just dont ask me to chosse your nursing home.... mother...

honest and gut wrenching...this some of the best I've seen of your writing. It takes great courage to face your demons and ask them to leave like you did. Bravo! ~cheryl
