Branch

Contributed by ReneeyUmbra on Saturday, 24th May 2008 @ 02:07:06 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Sticking out the window, the branches

Slam against the loving gaze as I

Sit here and wonder why do I

Why do I, have to stay here all alone?

The branches swish back and forth

Almost as if it's saying come on

And I sit here locked in

My little room waiting for the time

To come, where the branches break

And I stay here, locked in my

Darkest times as I wait for my

Light to come just as the branch

Falls down to the ground

Where it lays in my deep sorrow

My knight never did come

Where he promised me he would

Jus as the tree promised the

Branch that she would not fall

So I linger along waiting

Waiting for my knight to come

And rescue me from this blasted

Hell here it comes

And the tree branch falls

Drowning in my sorrow

And I stay here, stay here

Lingering in my abnormal

Obsession with my darkness

As the tree branch falls

So do I

Incredible write. The style in which you wrote this fit the theme of what you were trying to convey.

I also like how you compared your heartache with the tree's and the broken branch.

Beautiful poem in its sadness though I am so sorry your heart is hurting.

Hugs

Michelle
