It was a season that peasants reaped the wheat
It was a season that peasants reaped the wheat,
I was reaping a field of wheat.
when I stood up to wipe off my face,
I suddenly saw you coming this way toward me.
"Maybe I am dreaming?"
I looked and looked,
but I was still wondering.
when I stooped low to reap the wheat again,
you grabbed me by the arm:
"give me the sickle,
you should take a break."
I gave a start of astonishment and stood,
"all that I see is true?"
"I'd like to give you a surprise,
so I had never told the news."
you looked at me with a smile,
"I had tried to make my dream real"
"Haha, great!
how smart you are!"
I didn't know whereof I talked about,
I just felt my heatbeat fast.
I passed you the sickle,
and you took it.
I blushed and told you,
I took three chopsticks in the morning,
I found it really surprising.
I couldn't convey my feeling in words,
my mood gradually lightened,
no words could express my happiness,
but I was on the rack during the entire day,
that was a relief to me.
It was two o'clock
when I finally got my head down,
but I had to get up early.
You knew,
I liked to look at the tints of pink in the sky at dawn.
