Sun faced
you came to me
peachy soft
and round
complete with fuzz;
you squeaked and gurgled
full of juicy sweetness
perfect for me with sugar tooth.
sometimes
it scared me,
awed me
the fierceness with which i felt
for you, and still do;
would tear apart the things
that dared
to hurt you
subtle
or unsubtle.
you grow
a wisdom bloom
searching out a hidden sun
with sun
and shadow face;
climbing
uncertain
in the concrete pillowscape
of youthful things.
grown now
but growing still
