I think about you all the time as if I am with you right now.
I know I won’t see you again but I refuse to allow my dreams to drown.
Although you killed yourself so long ago I refuse to let your memory die.
Although in those months before you killed yourself, mentally you weren’t alive.
I will not forget you because you were my friend and I loved you ever so much.
I tried to save you from your hell but I guess I wasn’t enough.
And though you topped yourself on heroin that you injected through your vein.
I refuse to think of you as an addict because I don’t want to remember you with hate.
I want to remember the Jess who picked me up off the floor when I was crying in pain.
And wiped the salty tears off if my cheeks and who promised it would all be okay.
I want to remember the Jess who wanted to look nice and was so much fun to be around.
Despite how when she cried she really cried she still pushed body else around.

I am sorry to hear about your friend...and how much you care for her is expressed and felt in each and every one of your words.
Try and remember the good times that you both shared and remember her how she was before....I have to agree with the previous comment...I think that is how she would want you to remember her...You did a very good job with this.
Once again I am sorry for your lose.

I recently lost someone in a tragic manner as well.
It is such a tragic thing to deal with. Know that you did all you could do and she knows that in her heart.
A bit of hope I had a friend expected to die come out of a coma and was almost the same person he once had been.. If this should happen never fear there will be a future and new beginning for your friendship.
I am so so very sorry and I am sending you a huge hug that I hope you can feel.
