Left, right, left

we march all day long

to a dreary dirge, not a playful song.

this marching drills holes in my head,

moving along I would swear I'm dead

but my heart is pounding to a different beat

totally different from the sound of my feet

It's the poetry of words you feed to me.

setting a rythm that I breath

you keep me alive by the words that you say

Lay awake at night, thinking of you as I pray

I can't wait to hold you tight

to kiss your lips and tell you it's alright

I'll always be near even when I'm far

I will walk to you if I lack a car

my loves covers over and across the land

reaching out for your love and your hand

my words will echo through vale and hill

to show the power and strength of my will

determined and dedicated to return once more

I swear to come back to your door

Quicker, stronger, and faster I'll be

but I will always remain the original me

the one that you cherish and love
