A sway of thought, a gentle breeze,
It all fell apart with the greatest of ease.
Nearby lovers now my rearview mirror,
Loved one long lost may appear nearer.
We must now burn the bridge or repair,
Either way, I must know you care.
Watching as the lovers slowly kiss,
I remember everything that I miss.
I feel as if I loved without knowing,
Hiding away the side I wasn’t showing.
Begging just wait, I’m slow to simmer,
Soon, however, the lights got dimmer.
I made mistakes; I’ll be glad to admit,
But in the end, I was willing to commit.
I wanted to try; that was something new,
I wanted to try; it was all for you.
As dangerous as a left turn on red,
Our unspeakable connection was dead.
As lovers trek on, glad to be glad,
I’ll be missing what we had.

Truly beautiful... loved this line...
"Our unspeakable connection was dead."
I guess it's the same as watching a mother with a new born babe when your own child had been taken from you....
