Something more than this

Contributed by MissTeenSuicide on Wednesday, 14th May 2008 @ 01:48:11 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Nothing is the way it's supposed to be
Isn't there supposed to be something more than this?
Things are good, but there's a fear in me
There's something out there that I might miss

I feel nervous, like I've done something wrong
Or was supposed to do something, but didn't do it at all
I feel everything is taking too long
And maybe, I should just let it be, give up and let fall

I want something more than this
I want the extraordinary, the excitement, the freedom
I can't accept this life for what it is
I'll set this life back on track, which the world took me from

Though I feel alone in my strain
The world resting on my shoulders
It wakes from the deep a slow, searing pain
And now the world suddenly seems colder.
