Goddess

Contributed by yangdantien on Saturday, 10th May 2008 @ 08:10:14 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

In her shadow I am but Algernon;
busy at task under moon glows,
simple prayers are cast,
spells from a tongue drips
in thick honeyed litany.
Vowels undulate syllables as
my soul becomes a toe tested lake
wind ripples tarns guts
from ear to tongue.

Divine,
sleight of majesty,
feisty, iridescent;
she brilliantly is the morn.
Aglow from dawn to eventide,
Illuminatrix, surgeon of the heart,
this soul lays upon her mesa,
throat bared, tanned by tears
her chalice anoints the blade
prepared to extricate locks,
lies and debris,
wounds are sewn
with her hand plucked golden strands
and cleansed by sweet rains,
a needle threads to pearls so
scars may whisper in remembrance.

Potent maternal,
birth becomes hydrogen
her element is periodicity.
Present at center,
she is clad in dust,
sheathe in mantle and seas,
adorned with glittering wisps and orbs;
I gaze into the right corner of her left eye
and glimpse her terrific science
which takes flight in myriad lives.

Without her touch, spark and lamp
I fall, breastplate broken,
into the chasm of vapid scalloped wit,
where dreams of Venus replays
in feeble stuttered repose,
a jaundiced droll puppet,
with spittle flakes peeling
from unused lips.

I don't know what to say, Yang.
Your use of verbal imagery is stunning!
I could not write a more beautiful poem if I tried.
Keep up the phenomenal work! You definitely have a gift for the poetic language!

WOW!!!

The searing & unadulterated yearning here has robbed me of my own ability to aptly articulate it's effect on me...WOW!!! Powerful & Depth Inspired Write!

Your words go beyond a woman's expectation of knowingness to what glorious wonder she can hold with her existence. You have captured and put into language an absolutely phenomenal piece of beauty to this wisdom. Never have I read such a deep and descriptive piece of art.
I love the choice of art work to the point of wanting to paint a 6 ft replica with my own awakened hand.
Bravo..ND
