I got a letter you wrote to me
In a week
I got a letter you wrote to me
it was a pleasant surprise to me
although that was to be expected
I was excited to open it
I was lost when reading your passion
I could see my beautiful beyond expression
carefully
I was reading it in delight
and attended your every word
frankly
I wanted to get down every sentence you said
you told me what happened in your own very words
I dared say I heard your heartbeat fast and hard breath
specially
I looked at the date with expectance
Oh my love
unwittingly
I called your name
if I ever saw one
our letters were really finished the same date
It gave me a warm feeling
because it was what I had felt
Quite frankly
I was not surprised
about what you wrote to me
I trusted you all along
I was sure your staying wouldn't be too long
your letter disarmed my heart
your words really stirred my blood
"You'll like me better
when you understand me more."
I took out my letter
and wrote down the word
then I read your letter again and again
with drinking a cup of water
Upon my word
it was true
I got up early the next morning
I gave a good clean to refresh my room

Even everyday things such as letters and house-cleaning can have beauty in them.
That is evident in your writing.
This poem is more than a poem; it is a work of art. Somewhat abstract, and ordinary in the good sense that it is a refreshing change of pace.
I enjoyed the tone of this work.
It was annoyed but subtle, which is a tone many writers fail to achieve.
You've succeeded here.
Keep up the fabulous work here, my friend! |
