I Wear A Mask

Contributed by airhead on Thursday, 8th May 2008 @ 06:49:30 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I wear a mask
Show a happy smiling me
Can’t show the world
I’m sad as can be

I wear a mask
Day in and day out
How did I lose you
What’s it all about

I wear a mask
To hide sorrow & pain
Bleeding inside
Nothing to gain

I wear a mask
I must be strong
But being without you
Just feels so wrong

I’ll wear that mask
When I see you again
But I know you’ll see through it
See I’m still in pain

So sad, but a good write. I can also relate to it so I know what you're going through. Hope things get better.

Your last stanza is so often true. The mask we wear does not fool the one who we are hiding from. Great job here. Hope it gets better.
