The Best of Men

Contributed by MissTeenSuicide on Thursday, 8th May 2008 @ 12:32:43 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

What do you see in me?
That I can’t see myself
And I don't wanna be
Just like everyone else

Why do you believe in me?
When I'm hopeless and out of mind
I just, I can’t believe
How you could be so kind
Be so kind

***
You see the best in me
The best I that could ever be
You don't know what to say, but I see
And know you're trying for me
***

A dedication and a song
Won’t fix anything that’s wrong
But I'm trying to tell you now
We can make things up somehow

We’ve been through much worse before
I don't think I helped much then
But you never walked out the door
I think you are the best of men

***
You see the best in me
The best that I could ever be
You don't know what to say, but I see
And know you're trying for me

You are all I need, all that I want
All I'm looking for
You know I'm loving what I've got
And I'll never ask for more
***

I'm glad we ended up this way
This is the way it should stay
I'm glad we have each other now
I promise I won't ever let you down

You’re my friend, my fantasy
You can always fall back on me
I trust you with my life
For you, I won't give up this time

***
You see the best in me
The best I that could ever be
You don't know what to say,
But you're still trying for me

You are all I need, all that I want
All I'll ever look for
You know I'm loving what I've got
And I'll never ask for more
***
