genocide

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Wednesday, 7th May 2008 @ 02:02:23 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Translucent melancholy
In these withered eyes
Tiny reminders that there is a soul
Writhing beneath this self-inflicted
Funeral

Of heart and mind,
And

How can I make you proud when
You’re never looking?

You with your mendacious garnet locks
And speckled cheeks that plead for your toxic brine
But you never spread the legs of your sorrow

It is weakness. It is the death of pride.

And here I am
Severed and gutted, smelling of rotted esteem
My insides covered in onyx desolation
A tremulous child hand reaching for the womb that once
Cradled her with infinite warmth

I am weakness.

for the silent wishes to bury myself in your heart

I am hate.

because I know the moment I settle there,

I will feel nothing.

Wow Stephy,

This my dear is quite a poignant piece of work. I love the imagery and flow of your words. The dark and desolate pull here is truly amazing.

Peace

~Shannon

Bon jour Fleur

Le amour se tourjour le capricee, mais alors il ne serait pas rentable autrement...

Thank goodness for Google translator...

I hope all is well and as expected your pen is sheathed in silk and yet cuts to the heart...

May you never settle...

Peace
AJ
