I stop at the crossing, step out of my car
The sound of the river I hear from afar
Water over rocks with a rumble and crash
Spray flying high with every splash
Swirling and bubbling in a white froth
Like a cauldron full of a witch’s broth
Faster it goes, over the bank it swells
A melody I hear as it bubbles and wells
The sound of it singing as it races along
The sound of the Molonglo river song

Nicely written. You bring the images to life. Well done. |
