Freedom writer of an angel,
Whose words express truth,
Darkest secrets of her soul,
Spilt out on paper like paint,
The many scribbles of literature,
For you to read; her audience,
So turn the spotlight on,
And she’ll let out her heart,
When it’s all over, take a bow,
Sounds of applause, some laughter,
Grim smiles, both genuine and fake,
Maybe it was all a mistake,
But what can she do now,
That the curtain has fallen.
Chance has come and gone,
Doors of oppourtunity now closed,
But the world keeps turning,
And he continues to love her,
With the same depths of yesterday,
Crystal meth tears of hurt,
Still falling down cherub cheeks,
Gentle fingertips brush away the pain,
And strong arms hold her together,
The pieces so ready to collapse,
But it’s unacceptable in this society,
You must be made of Plexiglas,
Freedom is a feeling so scarce,
Only wild horse know it now,
Capture a fleeting emotion through a lens,
See what others view each day,
But sometimes share the ones you do not.
The atmosphere around her changes,
And reality hits close to home,
The scarce truth of living,
Shrouded secrets; hush hush,
Love does not dissolve; but fades,
And after some time only leaves scars.
Can the impossible be possible?
Will he wait for her and vice versa?
Walking, but not really going anywhere,
Listening intently, but not really caring,
Fake sympathy of prying spies,
Some people just want to know,
Because when it doesn’t affect them first hand,
It’s hard to let it move them,
Cuz everything in their world,
Is peachy keen and oh so rosy,
Until it happens to them too,
And then the world stops moving,
But everyone else keeps going,
And you want them to stop too,
As unreasonable as that may seem,
And when they don’t you feel alone,
To take on your burden single handed,
To face the black birds and demons,
And all other outside factors,
And cast them aside for now,
Because every little speck of me,
Is threatening to come undone,
And these four walls close in,
The light fades from the window,
The pen blots its final words,
And the night falls again as it was meant to…

And after some time only leaves scars."
