Portrait Of Hurt.

Contributed by bleedthelove on Saturday, 3rd May 2008 @ 02:44:59 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Take the pain of a broken heart
And multiply it by a hundred and three
Then intensify it by a thousand
And you get the destruction inside of me
I wear my scars for the world to see
Like the heart shaped blood stain on my sleeve
The sadness resonates off my breath everytime I breathe
And I'm so tired of trying, constantly crying
Battered, broken, and on the verge of dying
Open wounds bleeding from the exposure
Still I try and pick up the pieces of myself
Carry on, and keep my composure
And no poem that I write will never explain
Never come close to representing my pain
Still I try and pen down the feeling
Of a broken heart with no chance of healing
An artistic way to try and define
The pain of living for a love
That will never be mine
Like a portrait of hurt painted in misery
Suddel tones to accent my broken bones
Crimson red for all the love I've bled
Yet it does no justice, doesn't help express
All the twisted emotions that I carry
Everything I have attempted to confess
So it all crumbles back into oppression
And I'm stuck drowing inside the sorrow
Letting it control my life like a sick obsession
I am the most sullen enitity to ever exist
Wearing the proof across each wrist
This is a life I never wanted to lead
But it seems as though I was born to bleed
Bleed the faith, bleed the pain,
Bleed the love, I even bleed the rain
And you can see me anyday
Through the clouds that swirl gray
I am the force of an angry storm
Bleeding out in freeform
I am anything that makes you understand
What it's like to roam this world
With my broken heart in my hand
Every time I step I stumble
And every time I breathe I crumble
A walking expression of depression
I am a portrait of hurt painted in misery...
Wearing my scars for the world to see.

What a fantastic portrait of pain. One would have to have embraced the emotion to have captured it so. Well done
