When all you can say is....

Contributed by Jester on Thursday, 13th March 2003 @ 09:30:00 AM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

A sigh of exhalation
her lips hold an almost smile
her face calm
more serene than it has been in years
her head nuzzles a make shift pillow
as her hand slides across the soft wamth that is beside her
her dreams are those that only happy have
and the sad hope for
her heart beats that slow rythem
the rythem to a song you can't quite remember
but you always stop to lisen to
her eyes opening slowly
and curiosity crosses her face
not harsh questioning but an inquiring smile
her lips part to ask that silent question
which is answered instently
the twilight makes her eyes sparkle
and her flesh a milky white
eyes closing once more
and a sigh tells that her question is answered
her breath falling back into that slow rythem
she moves only slightly
as the hours they pass
and the dawn arrives
a technicolour sky
the warm beams of light
they caress her body
she is like a flower
the light toughing her pettle like skin
and she opens up
her eyes open up
her mouth broadens in to a smile
and all I can say is 'good morning'

Aaahhh ... I agree that moment is the most treasured of all - I'm not sure if your poem is for someone you love or for any female ... but for me to sleep with the one I love is a prized possession ... Your imagery is devine... Jan

Thank you for the compliments, and the poem is for any female as at the moment I am still looking for someone to share that experiance with but my rememberence of the instent is very vivid that it always puts a smile on my face. May you have many nights sleeping by the one you love.
