I cried yesterday night
The tears felt warm on my cheeks
Each tear tells a piece of story
Story of you in my heart
My heart hurts
With each flowing tears
I know I need to forget
I know I have to let go
You are the one I love
But I was never your choice
You are the one I need
But I was never in your heart
You are the special one for me
But I was never the perfect one for you
I realized all that, all too late
As you are already etched deep down inside my heart

Nice write, the emotions are raw but I think that works best for short poems.
