i can't keep my mind off of
climbing the never ending stairs
digging feet into the cool grit sand and
watching bands as we stand
in a crowded basement like
the one with a matress on New Years
Kiss, one to remember out of a million
If i don't sleep i don't care
Its one oclock and im wide awake
laying next to you
another adventure
stoneybrook falls or carved picnic tables
or just a bottle of
wind up get ready for the attack
against long distance that will never get in the way
So tell me another story
best storyteller, keep going
But we are the best story i know
a perfect ending to a summer night

absolutely loved this. the plays on words (botle of wind up....) are fantastic, clever, and creative. i got the good feeling i only get from well-written, interesting, and engaging poetry. You rock.
