Lustful Blade

Contributed by LoveStruck_Hippie on Tuesday, 29th April 2008 @ 05:58:28 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

The blade cuts deep
Or is it the jagged edge of your words

Or lack there of ...

Spilling forth the source of my pain
You ask me to believe
The vomit that spills from your mouth
In the guise of flowery words
Words of love and passion.

What would you leave me to believe?
Do I trust in the things you say?
Take comfort in the things you do?
Or should I look beyond the mask …

The picture you paint hoping to disguise
The filth that you have built in lies
What say you …

The damage that you have done
For the prize that you have won
Was it worth the cost?

Or will you drown,
Sucking the putrid filth
Of your own betrayal

Yes …

The blade cuts deep …
But into whose skin?

Holy heck hun!!!

Yes ... trusting is a tricky business. You want SO much to give it
away, but each time it is betrayed, it makes it that much harder to
give, no? And I'm not even talking about trusting someone who's
already given you reason not to. I mean, ancient betrayals can still
bleed you dry and hurt current relationships that SHOULD involve
trust.

Having said that, I know where this comes from sweetie, and if
I could, I would take that pain away. It's horrid, I know. This piece
is so fantastic though. You really captured the art of caution here.
And the ending ... DAMN!! That was immense!

Perfectly worded. I hope it helped. (At least some)

*hugs*

~Breezy
