At times a tiny shadow
playing in the night.
Darkness is her friend
sky full of stars her delight.
Soft whisper of wind
blowing at her dress
tiny droplets of rain falling
the moments she loves the best.
Night sings its song.
Once in awhile the moon peaks out
a dance is not a dance
unless you make the room.
Room to embrace the moment.
Becoming one with the still
the earth producing the melody
off she dances to her own tune.

Michelle,
I really love this write.
My favorite stanza would be the last
Room to embrace the moment.
Becoming one with the still
the earth producing the melody
off she dances to her own tune.
Oh how I love that dance.
Peace

What a sweet poem, I can picture a small child enjoying the soft beauty of a starlit night and dancing her or his own little dance in time to an unheard music. Soapy |
