Hey world, I smell murder!

Contributed by sour_gurl67 on Monday, 28th April 2008 @ 03:51:31 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

In true blue form we rot in seas of pestilence
bound and gagged, disease dripping from our lucid wings
Reaping the fields of insanity, stripped down to infertile earth
the winds singing their last song
the world mourns in misery just to be whole again
A virginal rose humanity plucked, now she consents like a cheap whore
Raped of blue sky visions and the sun in frozen form shines no more
In the daze of our dying and decay we're strung out on artificial happiness
Pretending to breathe
empty bottles shatter on cracked cement
we walk over the broken pieces, sticking through our skin
It feels good to feel anything now days...just to feel
I swallow a smile and wait for my fill of joy
We're breeding suicide like razorblades and butcher's knives
Our mechanic god contraption crumbles in our hands
Promising no hope, burning scriptures resembling the smell of torched flesh
Your heaven was never there, Your savior never real
What have you left? souless you bleed out over nothingness
In a state of breathing death, we may as well lay down and close our eyes
I can taste the bitter blood, I can smell the murder
the fault is allover our hands

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
