Femme Fatales

Contributed by hardrocker15198916 on Sunday, 27th April 2008 @ 01:24:57 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I’ll wait till I see your breath-taking eyes again
to tell you how I feel
The color will warp and I’ll have a glimpse
of your ever-elusive soul
Bear your heart to me and let me know
what’s hidden within it’s walls
The sound of your voice echoes in mine;
I hear no other lovers’ call

So temptingly dangerous, yet I still fall into step
on the dance floor
Hands on hips and shoulders; I teem with the thoughts
of a whore
And I will slap myself till I forget why exactly
I was here
Because knowing that a false love was built on lust
is a morbid fear

You smile at me and I see your eyes
and I'm tempted to speak in tongues
To know that you could understand
every which-way that is my love
Lies would spill out from my mouth
and I would never notice
My heart is racing behind closed doors
as you reach down for a kiss

And the next time I see your eyes again,
it will have been too late
Those eyes of yours will have changed colors
and moved to another fate
For those other femme fatales play much better than I,
and I cannot compare
I am just a simple soul seeking truth, and they, oh no,
they do not play fair
