Do you still?

Contributed by shelby on Saturday, 26th April 2008 @ 09:55:14 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Across the stars of Heavens Gateway
where the stardust dances with the moon.
Thoughts drift to late night conversations
and time well spent sharing the same stars.

The raindrops softly falling down
to the soaked sweet smelling earth.
Candle light streams in the window
the only light to penetrate the rain.

Thoughts wander delicate,
like the comets streaking the skies.
Painting the Heavens in azure blue
Mixing with the thunders sighs.

Across the vast ocean seascape,
mingling in the moors
walking across the forests green
pine laden on the mossy floors.

Per chance we think of those moments
and our thoughts drift like the wind.
Swaying like a dance in the night hours
do the thoughts raise you awake whispering in your ears?

~Michelle~

I've always been particularly fond of the things you post.
As it amuses me,

and as amusement is all one can desire.
For nothing in this world is as it seems to be,
their life is your's for hire.

Michelle,

I love it. "Painting the heavens in azure blue, mixing with the thunder's sighs" - just beautiful.

Excellent write. You are one of the most talented here at YPDC.

The Ghost Alarms applaud your work yet again. A very visual selection or word images. A very flowing poem with a passion similar to waves crashing into rocks as seen in your display at the end of the poem.

As we sit at our desks in our robes we are reminded that our thoughts do so wander adrift so we decide in unsion to honor your poem. We sit at our desks and do nothing but think. So as you ask "Do we still". We respond "Yes we still". We still for a bit longer. Stilling into the night. That is many still things in thought for we are many.

May a mischevious spirit catch you being still and slap you upside the head many times until you turn around to say "Stop" only to see the face of something disturbing....a ghost without hands to slap you...NOW THAT'S CREEPY!

Across the stars of Heaven's gateway. Beautifully phrased and so full of meaning. This little gem of a poem was written by a master of words. A word-smith that thinks before writing or putting pen to paper. I wish more on ypdc would do the same. Walking across the forest's green pine laden floors. The imagination would be worthy of a Shakespeare or a Wordsworth, Just the humble opinion of soapy a would be writer of rhymes
