MY BLINKING LOVER.

Contributed by FRANCO on Friday, 25th April 2008 @ 02:53:33 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I sat staring at my cyber-box,
awaiting anxiously for her to
blink, ‘nd to take me through
the voyage of love, to sail
beyond dream’s brim, disembark
on an island of passion, ‘nd to make
love on the golden silky, sandy shoreline.

Love bloomed, promises swapped over,
chatting, smiling, laughing, and crying,
she was very much there but only
as a blinking cyber icon.

Restless times spent glaring at the screen,
for that one blinking moment of her; lo,
she blink’s but spoke not to me, fear grips,
heart ponders, is this it? Query’s my
pounding heart, Am I a worthless waste of time?
Was she not a human with throbbing heart,
or she just another emotionless cyber box ?

Love did bloom put perished before
seeing the dawn of our dream fulfilled,
buried inside my little cyber box. She goes her
way just like another day; leaving me
drowned in my own excruciating tears,
awaiting for her to blink for one loving moment on
my screen, to reassure, love is love,
matter not where it blooms.

Me an old timer fail to gather the facts of cyber life, still hold
my bleed heart for her; but for her, it was “GAME OVER”
she won and I lost.
-FRANCO-

Franco,
You did this perfectly. everyone always seaching for emotions and hoping on someone noticing.
...and to true it seems ends before the next sunrise.

after lurking around the internetz for long enough, i found this rather amusing.

simple truth,
read the rules of the internet,
you'll see the problem with this.

on the other hand,
you can look toward songs such as "boten anna" from basshunter.

but if you don't realize my references,
just remember:

i thought this a pretty cool poem regardless of how much i could distort the meaning. ^_^

keep it up. ;_;

Oh my dear friend, Franco. What an amazing way you have with description.
When you pick up an emotion, there is no part left unstudied it seems, as
you place every feeling and aspect of the emotion down in poetic form for us
to relive. This one, in particular is something of a delicate subject. So many have
an opinion on it and there is about as much experience with it as there are SN's.

Well done, poet! Once again you have brought an attention to
something that mulled around in the back of my mind until your poem
drove it to the forefront. Excellent work! ^_^

hope all is well ~

Benedetto,
You captured so well the cyber life and relationship. It is a tug and pull at the emotions especially in the loneliness of one's life. You captured the waiting and desperation that grips the heart. As you say your not sure who you are communicating with...Magnificamente articolati BRAVO!!!
ईश्वर को धन्यवाद देता हूं ... हमें इस नहीं किया गया था [CLOSE ENOUGH ;)
