His hope has gone,
He sits here still,
A picture postcard for his advancing years.
He has a folder full of memories,
And time is marching on,
He knows that youth is nothing but a disguised timebomb.
He hangs his head over,
His usual pint of beer
And sighs a thousand sighs of heartbreak and tears
Many summers past and the days turned into years,
Now he is alone silence fills his ears.
