Just For One Day

Contributed by ellimac on Wednesday, 23rd April 2008 @ 11:32:12 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

just for one day,
i would like things to go back to the way it was
when we were getting to know each other hand in hand
and sneaking kisses in between laughs.

just for one day,
i would want for you to look at me the way you used to,
with your soft eyes and cute little nose.
and for you to smile and say you loved me again.

just for one day,
i would want to rest my head on your shoulder,
and breath in your air
and look up at you, knowing you're my world.

just for one day,
i'd be happy again,
and wouldn't have to smile and pretend i'm fine.

just for one day,
i'd hold you in my arms and never let go
and have all my friends tell me how lucky i am to have you,
and I’d smile and say, "I Know."

just for one day,
i'd love to watch you sleep,
so peaceful in my arms
and have the only thing i hear, your heart beating with mine.

just for one day,
i'd show you my true side,
the side i was prepared to make my whole, and give you my all.

just for one day,
i'd show you i love you all over again.

just for one day.
