Different

Everything is so different now.
I haven’t yet figured out why, or even how.
But I know it has something to do with that new girl.
She kind of makes me want to hurl.
She took you away from me,
And now we can never be.

I’m not even sure why I want to be with you.
But, nonetheless, it’s still true.
You’ve hurt me so much in the past,
And the pain didn’t go away very fast;
It seemed to take forever for me to heal.
And although what I did wasn’t okay, I still managed to deal.

But because of you, I wanted to die.
I don’t think you realized how close I was to saying good-bye.
And so that is why I don’t understand why I still want you.
You weren’t exactly all that nice to me; you just dropped everything and ran when you find that someone new.

However, everything is so different now.
The way you look at me compared to the way you used to makes me want to just gape and say “wow”.
You used to love me,
That I now see.
But not anymore.
And it’s left me so broken and sore.
Things should go back to the way they were,
Before I’d turned into a cutter.
And before I gave up on everything
And began acting.
Things were better then,
And I wish we could go back to those happy times again.
