The Bridge

The Bridge

There have been many bridges I have crossed in my life
Waiting at the other end I have found both happiness and strife
Some are short enough to see the other side
Others have been so long the end seems to hide

I have never been afraid to cross each bridge I have found
Keeping the faith that each carries me homeward bound
At times I have had to choose which bridge to take
So very difficult a decision it is to make

On the other side of one the special ones is where I found you
You shared with me your perspective and a different point of view
For this I will be grateful until the last of my days
You have brightened my life in so many ways

Now at this time I am facing another bridge that is long
Trying to remember an encouraging song
This is the one that may finally lead to the end
Believing for me he has no more journeys on which to send

Thank you for your guidance and inspiration my dear
Next to my heart your memory I will always hold near
Until the time when we once again will meet
May the Lord always lay the path for your feet

My dear friend, whatever bridge you have to cross now, you will do so with your usual grace and charm.... I know that nothing is too difficult for you to endure...You are strong... you always have been....and always will be. But just in case you need some encouragement... I'll hold your hand as you cross it....
Hugs
Jenni

This poem made me smile. There is just something about the bridges isn't there?

I love the sentiment in this write. I also know that whatever bridge you come across you will find the end and the right one.

Thanks for being you.

huge hugs

Michelle
