Dark Blue

Contributed by Jacquelynne on Wednesday, 12th March 2003 @ 09:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

My eyes shine dark blue
stained from scary days
you indulge in their beauty
as I loathe the horrid memories
If only you saw
what they saw
all the decietful hearts
all the guys filled with artificial sweetener
as they lie to conform me
to their taste and likings
how they loved my childlike vulnerability
You pity me, hesitate, then siphon me
promise you're differnt
that ther's no pressure
but I'm stained from previous days
They said love would save us
it's suspicion without suspense
as they rush in
taking advantage of my brokeness
Your honesty startles me
catches me offguard
but it's too late now
I don't think it will fade
but my dark blue eyes fade
as I say the sweet words
I love you

What a poem. you certainly know how shallow some men can be.

I gave up on one girl who had been hurt, Her sister cornered me and told me in front of several mutual friends, just how much it had set her back.

Now thanks to your poem I've got some idea what I put her through
