I straggle into the daily routine
Picking up the pieces of the puzzle
That seem to beckon me
And I hold onto what I know
Because what saves me is the past
And finding out that the future is different
Challenges me into a deeper fear

Inside of these broken windows
I hear her voice
I taste her skin
I can feel her moving inside of me
And the hat pulled low
And the nose turned up
They changed me

I am coming home, fear not
I am coming home
And the light at the end of the tunnel
Is just getting brighter
Once in a while I shed tears
Hoping to find something to save me
Knowing it was you that
Paved the way to this existence
One of the very few who could
Grab my heart, blood and veins
And stick a piece of you inside

I remind myself that you are just a memory
And memories are just parts of the broken pieces
And you can repair
But it takes time
And when you have no time
The easiest thing to do
Is to watch
And wait

memories are piles of leaves
leaves rot, fertilize the earth

we burn the piles

aren't we silly

I like it, otherwise i wouldn't comment.

write everything!

always, abraham
