Shake **** up a bit

Contributed by jantra on Friday, 18th April 2008 @ 07:18:32 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

here i am, and here i've been for quite some time now,
swimming upstream,
trying to achieve the american dream.

i want to change,
i want to shake **** up a bit,
but i don't know how.

it's strange how we want change in our boring, sad, lives,
then when it comes along we resent it as an imposition on our perfect disposition.
but you can't give nothing while jonesing for something.

here i sit, and here i've sat for quite some time now
waiting for my life to start,
and my heart is barely in it anymore.

i want to change,
i want to shake **** up a bit,
but i don't know how.

how can i change,
i mean really change,
when i'm too scared all the time?

i'm scared that my world will come
crumbling down around me once more
now that i've finally rebuilt a little happiness.

yes i've been shattered before.
you can see it in the way i carry myself.
the tough act and the mile thick pride can't conceal that inside i've only begun to heal.

this is a new year and i need change.
i need to banish those old fears and anxieties.
i need to shake **** up a bit.
i just don't know how

Change starts with yourself. Don't just sit there waiting for something to happen. Get on your feet and get things started.

That's how lives change.

Good write.

Nice poem has been written, the poetess is fighting against the odds of life, she is conscious of the fact that there is a force (Providence) in function against the human endeavour that finall wins but one must not be disappointed, Man must perform His task and the matter which is beyond His control is in fact the share of Divine Force. the poem is deep, diction is comprehensive, most of all there is a natural flow of expression. Good Luck.

oh so true of so many, all it takes to change is the guts to throw away what you know, but few have the courage because we value safety.

Everyone in the world has been shattered before. that's where that **** came from "what doesn't kill......"
Girl all you need is the right people around you for your voice to be loud. it's like a band, you got the sound. just band together with your friends and let your talent be heard.
To change any thing you must first change yourself to adapt to those around you to hear what they need to hear.
You got it, shake it up...
