No Man's Land

I am the flat, dry, plains,
inpenetrable to rain,
stretching out
as far as the eye can see.
I am a lover of sun,
but i will never be a mother to anyone
with my barren, brown,
infertile grounds.
I am unblemished by footprints and foreign invaders.
I am a destroyer of any life force that braves me.
Though occasionally hints of beauty come in the way
a lone flower or tree has managed to withstand my assault.
It's my fault
that a useless tired fence,
drawing the border between nothing and nothing,
has kept everything away for so long.
There's something really wrong with a woman who cannot say "I love you" and actually feel it.

The poem is very lively and metaphorical, and I enjoyed that about it. I just wish that you had ended it on a different note (it can be on the same statement, but just differently). Nevertheless, I enjoyed the poem, keep it up :). |

I understand Xbxg's comment, but for me oin this case the last line is a great wrapup.
I will also say that remember, even a desert is full of life...if you know where to look! |

you know in the abyss, and in the intrigued heat, your so called no mans land, is the place of stars with the truth of epithany.
if of right practice and love of learning, there is no need for words, in time all things are understanding. |
