How Can I Tell Him?

Contributed by Jenni_K on Thursday, 17th April 2008 @ 09:52:06 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

How can I tell him
what’s in my heart
When I know it isn’t right?

How can I tell him
how happy he makes me
and how I long to see him each day.

How can I tell him
that I’d love to hold his hand
and take a walk with him
along a sandy beach.

How can I tell him
the images I conjure up
when
I see him with someone else

How can I tell him
I wish we could be more than friends
when I know that this
could never be a reality.

How can I tell him
all the things in my heart?
It wouldn’t make a difference anyway
So WHY should I bother?!

How can you not tell him? If you worry only about the negative in what could happen, then you will never allow yourself to be happy. Other then in your mind and dreams. And considering we can not live in a dream world, you have to tell him... Dont leave yourself to second guess. Take the chance.

Whatever will be, will be.
Great writing girl.
It would be my guess that he already knows.
Awesome.
huggs, smiles,

Well written and heartfelt....my favorite kind of poetry. You should bother so that you don't regret later not saying something.

Do bother! Tell him anyway, else you are never to know.

Good write, I really like it.

Yes...what were you thinking!!! :)

Sometimes when one person follows their heart, it disrupts other hearts along the way. It can be a tough road. I still like the "follow your heart" attitude.....just be oh so careful.....

aw Jenni .. yes, tell him you must! (Us hopeless romantics must stick together!)

What a beautiful torment you've written about. A torment that
I'm sure most have shared at one time or another. Our own eogs
batter us around a lot, don't they? Never let your ego tell your
heart anything it feels is a waste of time or an act of futility. When we
allow our heads to rule us, our hearts fall into the trap of dreamlessness.
And nothing is worse than that. Except maybe the years of "what ifs"
that follow ...

Our hearts are stronger than we give them credit for.

Great write, my friend. ^_^
