the boy stares at the girl that is his best friend and knew for all of his life
he thinks that someday she will be his wife
"I want to tell her but it's not the right time" he rights in his diary
"I want to know if she likes me"

now the children are teenagers and he still hasn't told her
"I want to tell her, but I still don't know if she likes me, I'm still not sure"
he writes in his diary
"I want to know if she liks me"

now the teenagers are adults and he still hasn't told her
"I want to tell her, but I still don't know if she likes me, I'm still not sure"
the girl says "I'm getting married!!! Isn't that great?!?!"
"Absolutely!" he says, knowing she isn't her fate

The people are all around and he's staring at the coffin of his late friend
he says softly "I should've told her, but now it's the end."
"I should've asked her when we had the chance."
He said as he walked away with one last glance

at the end of the funeral a book was given to him
it was her diary, and it was about him
"I want to tell him but it's not the right time" it said in the diary
"I want to know if helikes me"

this is a great write..it's a sad story to read...and a very good lesson if you ask me...your whole life your taught, or pushed to never open your mouth about anything...don't speak your opinion...don't put yourself out there you'll just get hurt...and they always use the saying.."don't put your foot in your mouth." but you have to...it hurts worse when you never say what you need to say...when it comes down to it your left unknown, and invisible, never knowing what could of been....

Really sad story...told so beautifully.. I could never understand why people never say what's in their hearts!! I'd rather hear a NO than to wonder all my life..... Great job....
