I thought I could change you.
And although it’s pathetic and impossible, it’s true.
I thought I could change you.
But I guess it doesn’t matter what I do.
And now that you’ve found someone new,
What I am, who I am…it doesn’t matter to you.
Outside I’m smiling, inside I’m dying.
Outside I’m laughing, inside I’m crying.
My already fragile heart
Has begun to fall apart.
And here I thought I could change you,
Get you to stop drinking, and chewing too.
Yeah right!
And now, because of you, I cry all night.

This is one great poem.
I love the rhyming! And the story it holds.... awesome. Wonderful. |
