Crying for the River

Contributed by alibof10 on Sunday, 13th April 2008 @ 06:06:30 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Sitting by the river stream
Thinking of my last dream

A dream about me being there
Side by side to the one and only girl
Holding her in my arms
Together defeating all harms
Resting her head on my chest
God! That moment was the best

We were sleeping on the grass
Looking up, watching the stars
Linking some, making our names
Such times make our days

I woke up, realized its only a dream
My girl not there, oh I wanted to scream
I was in bed all alone
Without the one who gave me the throne

Sitting by the river stream
Crying because it was only a dream
Crying for I miss my girl
Worried for I haven’t heard from her
How she is? What's she doing?
Is everything good? Is she sleeping?
Worried sick as I am
I feel something’s going on
I hope you're fine baby … I love you

It's always hard when the one you love is not around.
My wife is only away for the weekend as I type this and I'm missing her loads.
Nightimes are always the worst.
