She was thrust upon a mountain
It was expected she would climb
She didn’t think she was well-equipped,
To ascend at that given time.
Although she had the best of experiences
And the view from the top was grand,
She didn’t think she could handle the pressure,
This wasn’t what she had planned.
She tried her best to go forward,
Meticulously following each trail.
Her greatest fear arose once more-
She didn’t want to fail.
She discovered hidden strengths in herself
But her weaknesses resurfaced again.
Faced once more with a reality so cold,
How could she, her confidence retain!
She didn’t think she was ready to quit
Yet with each step she pondered.
Would she be able to weather the storm
As upon this hill she wandered?
She was faced with a mountain,
She didn't think she could climb.
She didn’t think she was ready
She was still battling against time.
