The water ripples in the pelican’s wake,
She sits deep in thought.
Her eyes, her mind, drifting over the lake,
He wonders where she is
Wanting to feel her thoughts to join her there
He marvels at her beauty.
The breeze swirls and ruffles her blonde hair
So pretty, he is captivated
Her mouth so inviting, lips so moist and soft
He imagines his lips on hers
The pelican flaps its wings and flies aloft
She turns and smiles
The spell is broken, she is back, they are together
He smiles at her
He will remember this precious moment, forever.
It is love
