The moon whispered divinities of chance and hope.
The stars that hung so low bowed their heads.
The oceans reached and grasped for the crimson- stained clouds.
the rain drops tried so hard to spill back into their homes.
The moon whispered false divinities of chance and hope--
broke the wicker basket and it all came crashing down--
The universe's attempts to regain stature faltered and wilted...

I've just read about 20 poems on here, and this is the first one I've liked. So that's pretty good. |
