Just Love

Contributed by Ruby2sdy on Monday, 7th April 2008 @ 11:46:12 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

After a moment, we forget, what once we meant when we said love.
Once again, it becomes shrouded in mystery,
A journey I shall never take. A destination at which I shall never arrive.
The past, suddenly erased, Control, Alt, Delete, Close Programme; It’s gone.
What once we shared becomes twisted within me
Wakes me up, keeps me going, drives me on
I shall search the world over, yet never will I find what once we had
So beautiful and powerful, if only I could remember how it felt.
Now my skin is cold to the touch; but at least my eyes are dry.
I remember yours.
Like chocolate melting and volcanoes erupting and my heart breaking.
Stood before me with kindness in them. An offer of help, perhaps.
The way you said my name rolling the letters around in your mouth
The dance of it, the lilt.
I only ever want you to say my name, no other has earned the right.
You made me beautiful.
You brought back my smile so for now I shall wonder where it has gone.
I wanted you to love me and you did
Wanted you to think of me and still you do
You are the unanswered phone call; the letter returned:
The man that I leave knocking on my front door.
Perhaps one day I shall answer.
And you shall sweep the tiny fragments of me from the floor.
For you destroy me. My beautiful.

I'm surprised there aren't more comments on this. It is very, VERY good!
The emotions you've captured and the fantastic way you've expressed this.
Very impressive!!
