EMOTIONS

Topic: LovePoetry

It is said that what the mind perceives the heart does feel
We humans have a wide and varied range of feelings
From sadness and hate through to happiness and love
I believe it is such emotions that help make us human

All human emotions either deal with or relate to love
Hate is the absence of love and so our heart is empty
But love is the essence of our life for it gives us purpose
A reason to live and be happy, to give and receive love

As a child we cried when discomforted, sadness or in pain
And we laughed merrily and cheerfully when happy
But as we grew into adulthood our emotions matured
It is then we begin to understand the greatest of all emotion

From the beginning of mankind’s birth it has been so
As man and woman felt the strong attraction of each other
And thus it has forever continued until this present day
That man is bonded to his mate and sustained our species

Poets have forever written uncountable volumes of books
Innumerable songs have been sung in praise of our love
Since the dawn of time lovers have whispered their words
Trying to explain the true depth of their emotions and love

Tis true I believe that love is the greatest experience of all
For it brings out the very best in all of those when in love
In history many men have willingly died for their beloved
Leaving their lover to mourn and cry endlessly at their fate

We all recall how our emotions rioted as we fell in love
Our hearts whispered sweet words of love and endearment
While our soul sighed joyfully at the touch of our beloved
As we talked softly of the present and of our future hopes

The plans that were made for a happy future together
Those moonlight walks along the foreshore or sandy beach
The anguish that was felt when a cross word was spoken
The joy and happiness when an argument was resolved

That soft and lingering kiss upon our lips we hungered for
Awakening our passions as they rose beyond our control
The joyful fulfilment that bathed us with utter contentment
That happy glow that filled us, knowing our love was real

There is no greater emotion known to man than love
For we were all born to be loved by someone special
And we will all search to find that special person to love
No matter how long it takes, the joy of love is worth it

Very true. You have a beautiful way with words, digging into your feeling and expressing it in a touching way.

Stunning.
