i don't know how to tell you
with simple words or rhymes
just how much i love you
through the bad and the good times
i don't know how to show you
what you mean to me
especially when i'm being
selfish and hopelessly mean
i don't know how to love you
the way i'm supposed to do
i wish there was a secret
that i could learn from too
i don't know what to give you
to repay your love for me
you are my life and love
without you, i wouldn't be
i may not know all these things
but i do know one thing's true
my heart would be breaking
if you and i were through
