Comment Please....NO!

Topic: goodbyepoetry

Across the oceans across all time
judged we are on what we say in rhyme.

We ask for comment then deny
what we have shown another's eye.

Poets ego's that are paper thin
can never really paint what lays within.

Can we stand tall in front of a crowd
and ply our trade with appalause out loud?

Or do we sulk throughout the night
indulging in defence of what MAY be right?

We share our work, whatever for?
Tranquil comments become a bore.

How do we evole within our art
well, listening to others is a good start!

Go on now-throw your stones
throw them hard-they won't break my bones!

Dear TT .... Fancy thinking we would throw stones at you! Your poetry has always wowed me ... now go soothe those ruffled feathers and write some more stuff.

If our comments become too "tranquil" though please let us know :))) ... Jan

Poems on this site about this site... they show up a lot here. This one sticks out though, short, simple. That final line is classic too. People, not just on this site, but in life too... they say what they think you want to her instead of having the balls to say what you need to hear. It's like them chucking a whiffle ball at you when they should be hurling jai-alai balls. Great write.
